Canteen Assistant (Part‑time, Temp‑to‑Perm)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Canteen Assistant to join our client’s canteen in the North West. This part‑time position offers an immediate start and the chance to move into a permanent role after 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to hygiene standards.
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the canteen area and kitchen equipment.
• Dispose of food waste properly.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the till.
• Adapt to additional duties as needed and be willing to learn new skills.

Required profile

• 6‑12 months experience working in a canteen or similar food‑service environment.
• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
• UK resident able to travel to the site for scheduled shifts.
• Cannot provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

• Food Hygiene Certificate (required qualification).
