Capture Manager

About the role

The Capture Manager will lead the pursuit of high‑value opportunities within the UK public sector, working in a hybrid model with occasional travel to our Farnborough office. You will be responsible for shaping and executing winning strategies that align with both client needs and Leidos’ business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the customer engagement strategy, involving senior executives as needed.
• Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to understand challenges and desired outcomes.
• Develop compelling, competitive capture strategies that differentiate our offering.
• Assemble and lead a high‑performing capture team, integrating relevant expertise.
• Collaborate with the Bid Manager to produce a high‑quality proposal that addresses win themes and evaluation criteria.
• Manage internal stakeholder governance throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Lead post‑submission activities and ensure smooth hand‑over to the delivery team.

Required profile

• Proven success securing new business in the UK public sector, including national, devolved, security and defence markets.
• Experience selling multi‑discipline IT and system integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of sales and capture strategy with a track record of leading capture/pursuit efforts.
• Demonstrated ability to win complex IT services contracts exceeding £20 million.
• Excellent senior stakeholder relationship skills, both internally and with customers/partners.
