Car Sales Manager – New Vehicles

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Car Sales Manager to lead the new‑car sales team at a reputable multi‑franchise dealership in Cheltenham. You will be responsible for driving vehicle sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences and meeting dealership targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the new‑car sales team to exceed sales targets.
• Drive new‑vehicle sales and maximise profitability.
• Manage customer enquiries from first contact through to delivery, ensuring high conversion rates.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle presentation, stock levels and merchandising.
• Oversee finance and insurance product delivery to support profitability.
• Recruit, mentor and develop team members for continuous growth.
• Build relationships within the local community to generate new business.
• Produce accurate sales reports and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in car sales management within a franchise‑approved dealership (or equivalent business management experience).
• Residence in or near Cheltenham with a reasonable commute.
• Strong leadership style – hands‑on and visible.
• Self‑driven, adaptable and highly motivated.
• Full UK driving licence.
