Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

About the role

Join the Theatre team at The Harborne Hospital as a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse. You will work in a purpose‑built hybrid theatre delivering interventional cardiology procedures, supporting both diagnostic and therapeutic cases in a modern, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality care across interventional cardiology and hybrid theatre procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties, assisting consultants during diagnostic and interventional cases.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly escalate any changes.
• Support the day‑to‑day running of the Cath Lab, including equipment and stock management.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement within the team.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC or HCPC registration.
• Experience in a Cath Lab or interventional cardiology setting, or a strong interest in developing in this area.
• Understanding of cardiac procedures and patient pathways.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary theatre environment.
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, team‑focused approach.
