Cardiovascular Research Data Coordinator (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role
The post holder will support the Cardiovascular Research Support Team by administering and coordinating data for clinical studies listed on the NIHR Portfolio. This part‑time, fixed‑term position involves complex data entry, documentation and liaison with research staff to ensure trials run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Complex data entry and administration for allocated cardiovascular clinical trials.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to MREC, LREC and the Trust’s Research & Development department.
- Liaise with research nurses, investigators and trial coordinators to ensure safe conduct of studies.
- Maintain trial databases and paper files, extract information from medical notes and submit case report forms on time.
- Ensure compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practice and other regulatory guidance.
Required profile
- Secondary education with A‑levels (grade C or above) and strong numeracy and literacy.
- Confident IT skills with experience of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of the research process and importance of confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational ability, high accuracy and capacity to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and alignment with Trust values.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Microsoft Access database for data entry and management.
