Care and Support Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Care and Support Assistant to join our vibrant disability service at 98 Old Milton Road, New Milton. You will work full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, helping individuals with learning and physical disabilities live independently and engage with their community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised care, including sensitive personal care and safe medication management.
• Support daily routines such as getting up, washing, dressing and meal preparation.
• Assist customers to access community venues, shops, cafés, friends and appointments.
• Develop and follow individual care and support plans as a key worker.
• Promote social interaction and reduce isolation by encouraging participation in activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and carry out risk assessments.

Required profile

• Kind, caring and compassionate nature.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing customer needs.
• Strong organisational skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to obtain).

Required skills

• Experience delivering personal care (helpful but not essential).
