Care Assistant - Bank - Care Home

About the role
As a Bank Care Assistant in our newly refurbished care home in Workington, you will support residents with daily living tasks, provide companionship and ensure they receive high‑quality, person‑centred care. The role is flexible, covering shifts as needed for annual leave, sick leave or other staffing gaps.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with meals, hydration and personal care according to individual care plans.
- Provide one‑to‑one time and social interaction to promote wellbeing.
- Support residents with mobility, dressing and toileting as required.
- Record observations and communicate any changes in condition to senior staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
Required profile
- Previous experience caring for older adults.
- Warm, empathetic and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive, can‑do attitude and flexibility to work varied shifts.
