Care Assistant – Bank – Flexible Care Home Role

About the role

This is a casual, part‑time Bank Care Assistant position in a Barchester care home. You will help residents enjoy each day by delivering high‑quality personal care, companionship and support. The role offers flexible hours to suit your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living tasks such as feeding, drinking, personal hygiene and mobility.
• Follow individual care plans and support residents in adhering to them.
• Provide one‑to‑one time and meaningful companionship to enhance wellbeing.
• Support residents during meals and ensure a safe, comfortable environment.
• Cover shifts for annual leave, sick leave or other staffing gaps as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people in a residential setting.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Empathetic, warm‑hearted approach and a genuine desire to help.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying shift patterns.
