Care Assistant – Complex Care

About the role

Join a Barchester complex care home in Billingham and help residents with advanced conditions such as dementia, multiple sclerosis, neuro‑rehabilitation needs and Huntington's disease enjoy a high quality of life. You will provide personalised daily support, companionship and ensure each resident receives the care outlined in their care plan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with eating, drinking and personal hygiene according to individual care plans.
• Deliver one‑to‑one time and emotional support, fostering a warm and safe environment.
• Monitor and record health observations, reporting any changes to senior staff.
• Support residents with specialised needs, including dementia and neuro‑rehabilitation activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere within newly refurbished units.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older adults, preferably in a complex‑care setting.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, can‑do attitude.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and work collaboratively with the care team.
