Care Assistant – Day & Night Shifts

About the role

The Old Rectory in Ewhurst is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to join our team on both day and night shifts. You will support older adults receiving nursing, respite, and rehabilitation care, helping them maintain dignity, comfort and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents while respecting their dignity.
• Assist with meals and cater to individual dietary requirements.
• Encourage participation in daily routines, social activities and events.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with infection‑control standards.
• Collaborate with care, kitchen, housekeeping and nursing teams to deliver seamless support.
• Observe and report any changes in residents’ wellbeing to senior staff.
