Care Assistant – Day or Night (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Join Bosworth Care Home in Weymouth as a Care Assistant, providing day or night support on a maternity‑cover basis. You will help residents live safely, comfortably and with dignity while working within a friendly, supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred personal care such as bathing, dressing and oral hygiene, encouraging independence.
• Contribute to care planning and reviews to ensure support plans meet individual needs.
• Administer medication safely in line with established procedures.
• Participate in social activities, outings and companionship to enhance residents’ wellbeing.
• Support colleagues through shadowing, teamwork and covering shifts as required.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining (no skilled or student visas accepted).
• Caring, reliable and positive attitude.
• Previous care experience preferred, especially for night shifts, though training is provided.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; focus is on compassionate care and adherence to care procedures.
