Care Assistant – Female Applicants (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is seeking caring and compassionate female Care Assistants to join its Redcot care home in Haslemere. You will help residents live happy, independent lives by delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care in a supportive, family‑like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care in line with individual care plans, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support.
• Assist residents with eating and drinking as needed.
• Carry out regular welfare and safety checks, especially during night shifts.
• Respond promptly to call bells and resident requests, offering reassurance and support.
• Promote dignity, choice, independence and overall wellbeing at all times.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Encourage participation in activities and maintain residents’ hobbies and interests.
• Observe and report any changes in physical or emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding, infection control, health‑and‑safety and company policies.

Required profile

• Kind, patient and compassionate with a genuine desire to support older people.
• Good communicator with a positive, professional attitude.
• Committed to delivering person‑centred care that respects dignity and independence.
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not mandatory.
