Care Assistant – Home Care (Swansea)

About the role

Join a newly established domiciliary care company delivering personalised support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. As a Care Assistant you will help maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing for a diverse range of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, bathing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, use of personal aids and manage incontinence needs.
• Support clients who are temporarily ill or terminally ill with bed nursing, feeding and medication.
• Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, outings, hobbies and recreation.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as making beds, cleaning, emptying commodes and tidying.
• Prepare, serve and clear light meals, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Complete care reports, participate in client reviews and follow training activities.
• Adhere to company policies, report significant health changes to supervisors and encourage client independence wherever possible.

• Flexible and able to adapt to varying schedules.
• Caring, sensitive to the needs of others and able to use initiative.
• Effective communication skills.
