Care Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join a specialist care provider serving the Leatherhead and Epsom area. You will support elderly residents and individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s, helping them maintain independence and enjoy a high quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Provide safe travel escorts and support clients in accessing community activities, education, and leisure programmes.
• Encourage and teach independent life skills, promoting confidence and autonomy.
• Document care activities and communicate any changes in client wellbeing to senior staff.
• Work flexibly across shifts, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
