Care Assistant

About the role

Audley Care is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to provide home‑care services to customers in Darley Dale and surrounding villages. You will support clients with personal care, daily living tasks and promote independence while adhering to CQC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers daily, following their personal care plans and providing assistance with bathing, dressing, meals and medication administration.
• Carry out household duties such as cooking, laundry, cleaning and fitness support.
• Support clients attending medical appointments, collect prescriptions and provide post‑hospital care.
• Encourage independence, respect dignity and privacy, and liaise with family members as needed.
• Maintain full compliance with safeguarding policies and complete mandatory training.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for community‑based work.
• Good written and spoken English and a professional appearance.
• Knowledge of the local area and ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to act as a role model and deliver high‑quality, compassionate care.

Required skills

• Use of the company mobile app to manage schedules and communicate with the care team.
• Accurate completion of electronic daily logs and medication instructions.
