Care Assistant – La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home

About the role
Join La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home in Martock to provide compassionate, person‑centred care for residents living with dementia. As a Care Assistant you will support daily living activities, promote dignity and help create a warm, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in condition.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver consistent, high‑quality care.
- Provide support during alternate weekends as part of the rota.
Required profile
- A caring, compassionate and respectful attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, positive and willing to learn.
- NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards it.
Required skills
What we offer
- £13.00 per hour (contract rate).
- Full‑time and part‑time hours available.
- Enhanced overtime rate, paid DBS, pension and uniform.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
- Full training, guidance and ongoing development.
