Care Assistant – Night Shift

About the role

Join the award‑winning team at West Wood Care Home in Sheringham as a Night‑Shift Care Assistant. You will work the 8 pm‑8 am bank shift, providing compassionate personal care and supporting residents throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene while preserving independence, dignity and respect.
• Identify and report clinical risk factors such as weight loss, pressure sores, fall risk and signs of infection.
• Maintain courteous interactions with residents, visitors and colleagues.
• Follow safe working practices for all tasks performed during the night shift.

Required profile

• Demonstrates caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative, respect for residents and team members, and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to adapt to short‑notice responsibilities.
