Care Assistant – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to work night shifts at Phil Mead House, a small residential care home in Coventry. You will provide person‑centred support from 8 pm to 8 am on designated nights, helping residents feel safe, comfortable and respected.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, drinking and mobility.
• Follow individual care plans, record observations and report any changes in health or wellbeing.
• Promote dignity, independence and choice while maintaining a warm and inclusive environment.
• Work collaboratively with the night‑shift team, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
• Adhere to health and safety, confidentiality and CQC standards throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting older adults.
• Reliability for night‑time work on a rotating schedule (Monday and Friday each week).
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Commitment to upholding the values of care, compassion, community, integrity and excellence.
