Care Assistant – Nights

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to join our night shift team at Westbourne Tower Care Home in Bournemouth. You will provide high-quality personal care to residents throughout the night, supporting their independence and wellbeing while working closely with the rest of the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal hygiene care, ensuring residents’ dignity and independence.
• Identify and monitor clinical risk factors such as weight loss, pressure sores, fall risk, and signs of infection, escalating concerns promptly.
• Maintain courteous and respectful interactions with residents, their families, and visitors.
• Follow safe working practices across all tasks and support continuity of care throughout the night.

Required profile

• Demonstrate caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative, respect for residents and colleagues, and ability to follow instructions.
• Adaptable and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
