Care Assistant – Residential & Dementia Support

About the role
Join a warm, family‑owned care home in the historic town of Sale, providing residential, dementia and respite care for 72 residents. As a Care Assistant you will deliver person‑centred support that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing for each individual.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and toileting.
- Support mobility, positioning and safe transfers.
- Help with meals, nutrition and hydration, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Monitor emotional wellbeing and recognise changes in condition, reporting to senior staff.
- Follow individual care plans and document observations accurately.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
- Cover alternate weekends as part of the rota.
Required profile
- A caring, compassionate and respectful attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, positive and willing to learn.
- Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
- NVQ Level 2 or willingness to work towards it is desirable.

What we offer
- £12.71 per hour, contracted 44 hours per week.
- Paid DBS check, pension scheme and uniform provided.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
