Care Assistant – Support Elderly & Dementia Patients

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join a specialist care organisation in Preston. You will work with elderly residents, including those living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other age‑related conditions, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning and personal care.
- Provide travel escorts and support participation in community‑based activities.
- Teach and encourage independent life skills.
- Deliver compassionate personal care and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team.
Required profile
- A friendly, caring approach with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Professional, reliable and flexible attitude.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Patience and a sense of humour.
Required skills
- Experience caring for elderly individuals, particularly those with dementia or Alzheimer’s (desirable).
