Care Home Activities Coordinator

About the role

The Activities Coordinator will create a vibrant, engaging environment for residents in our care home, using expertise in arts, music, hospitality and event planning to promote wellbeing and social interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a daily programme of activities, including theatre, art, music and social events.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager and Regional Hospitality & Lifestyle Manager to align activities with resident needs.
• Lead group sessions, coordinate volunteers and ensure all activities are safe and inclusive.
• Maintain activity records, gather resident feedback and adjust programmes accordingly.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Lifestyle or Activities Coordinator in a care, community, leisure or hospitality setting.
• Strong organisational abilities, creativity and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Empathy and understanding of the needs of elderly and disabled residents.

Required skills

• Knowledge of theatre, art, music, hospitality and event hosting.
• Ability to lead group activities and manage volunteers.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and resident preferences.
