Care Home Assistant

About the role

As a Care Home Assistant at Barchester Healthcare you will support residents in a warm, homely environment. Your day will vary between caring for residents, maintaining the home and helping with meals, giving you a broad range of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meal preparation and serve meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the home environment.
• Support housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents' needs are met.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to adapt.
• Practical and ready to undertake a variety of tasks.
• Some experience in care, housekeeping or catering (training provided).
