Care Home Community Lead

About the role
As a Community Lead within Barchester Healthcare’s residential care homes, you will create a stimulating and fulfilling environment for residents while delivering person‑centred care. You will respect each resident’s independence, privacy, dignity and choice, and act as a trusted role model for both staff and families.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support a team of Carers and Senior Carers.
- Record clinical observations such as weight and blood pressure.
- Carry out simple wound‑dressing procedures.
- Ensure person‑centred care that upholds residents’ independence and dignity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families and external partners.
Required profile
- Senior‑level care experience with a history of supervising staff.
- Understanding of clinical care for older people.
- Level 3 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to obtain assessor qualification).
- Enthusiastic, tenacious, with high integrity and strong communication skills.
- Commitment to a vibrant, supportive culture that puts residents first.
Required skills
- Clinical observation recording (weight, blood pressure).
- Simple wound‑dressing techniques.
