Care Home Hospitality and Catering Assistant

About the role

Join Brendoncare Meadway in Winchester as a part‑time Hospitality and Catering Assistant. You will support residents during meals, help with light food preparation, and maintain a clean, safe dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Host residents in the dining room and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Prepare and serve light meals according to resident needs.
• Rotate stock and manage inventory for the kitchen and restaurant.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in both restaurant and kitchen areas.
• Exceed COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) standards.
• Complete HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) records accurately.

Required profile

• Experience working in a care home setting or in a catering environment is preferred.
• Ability to work 8 hours per week across 4 days, including alternating weekends.
• Reliability for 2‑hour shifts (4:30 pm – 6:30 pm).

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSHH compliance.
• Experience with HACCP record‑keeping.
