Care Home Regional Trainer

About the role

Excelcare is seeking a Care Home Regional Trainer to support its Milton Keynes and Cambridge portfolio of 14 nursing and care homes. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will lead the delivery of regulatory, mandatory and specialist training, ensuring staff are equipped to provide high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the company’s Quality Framework for learning and development across the region.
• Deliver induction training and facilitate completion of the Care Certificate.
• Plan, deliver and record all regulatory, mandatory and specialist training via the Learning Management System.
• Source and deliver training that supports clinical, professional and care practice development.
• Monitor training needs, analyse outcomes and report on regional performance.
• Provide face‑to‑face training and observational supervision to embed learning in practice.

Required profile

• Recognised trainer qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, teaching diploma/degree).
• Experience delivering training in a social care setting.
• Car owner with a full driving licence for travel across multiple sites.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Learning Management System (LMS) for tracking and reporting training.

What we offer

• Salary up to £40,000 per annum.
• £2,500 car allowance plus mileage reimbursement.
• Standard office hours: 8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday, onsite role.
