Care Home Regional Trainer

About the role

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a motivated Care Home Regional Trainer to join its supportive Home Management and Regional Team. You will travel across 14 nursing and care homes in the Milton Keynes and Cambridge area, delivering high‑quality training that ensures staff meet regulatory standards and provide outstanding care.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and embed the company’s Quality Framework for learning and development across the region.
• Deliver induction training and support completion of the Care Certificate.
• Provide all regulatory, mandatory and specialist training and record activity in the Learning Management System.
• Source, design and deliver face‑to‑face training, including observational supervision.
• Monitor, analyse and report training needs and outcomes for the region.
• Support career pathways and development programmes in collaboration with the Training team.

Required profile

• Recognised trainer qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, teaching diploma/degree).
• Experience delivering training within a social care setting.
• Health & Social Care qualification (desirable).
• Strong report‑writing and data presentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence and own car for regional travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
• Knowledge of CQC standards, legislation and training requirements.

What we offer

• Salary up to £40,000 per annum.
• £2,500 car allowance plus mileage reimbursement.
• Standard office hours: 8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday.
• On‑site role within a family‑owned care home group with 34 years of experience.
