Care Home Worker – Scottish Islands

About the role

Are you looking for a change of scenery and a chance to live and work in some of the most beautiful places in the UK? Randstad Care is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers and Domiciliary Carers to join dedicated teams in rural Scottish locations, including the Western Isles, Argyll & Bute, Orkney and Shetland. In these small island communities health and social care is busy, and you may work up to 60 hours per week during temporary posts, making a real difference while exploring one of the world’s most beautiful regions.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience working as a Support Worker in the UK, providing personal care.
• Willingness to commit to a placement of a minimum of three months.
• Access to your own car and a valid driving licence for island travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in moving and handling techniques to safely assist residents.
• Ability to administer medication according to care plans.
• Experience delivering personal care, including hygiene and daily living support.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rates ranging from £19 to £26, with mileage reimbursement at 55p per mile.
• Full reimbursement of ferry costs in your first wage.
