Care Lead – Senior Care Assistant

About the role

Thornfield Care Home, located on the scenic Jurassic Coast in Seaton, is seeking an experienced Care Lead to join its dedicated team. You will support the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, dignified and person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the care team on shift, modelling best practice.
• Plan, allocate and monitor workloads to meet resident needs.
• Oversee care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.
• Collaborate with nursing and management staff to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Support staff development, promote a respectful culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Medication administration training with proven competency.
• Previous experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

• Hourly rate £14.60 – £15.79 (48 hours/week).
