Care Supervisor / Deputy Manager – Supported Living

About the role

This newly created position supports the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of a small, person‑centred supported living service in Gloucester. While the role is primarily office‑based, you will also be required to step in on the floor, cover shifts and take part in an on‑call rota as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the overall management of supported living services across four homes.
• Create and maintain person‑centred care plans and related documentation.
• Conduct staff supervisions, competency assessments and provide performance support.
• Manage rotas, staffing requirements and assist with recruitment and onboarding.
• Monitor medication processes, carry out audits and ensure quality assurance.
• Work with the Registered Manager to maintain CQC compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide practical support to the care team during out‑of‑hours shifts and sleep‑ins when required.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in supported living, learning disabilities or complex care settings.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexibility to work outside standard office hours.
• Genuine passion for delivering outstanding care.
