Care Team Leader

About the role

Hales Homecare is seeking a confident and organised Care Team Leader to oversee its domiciliary care services in Sunderland. You will coordinate staff, ensure high‑quality care delivery, and support the professional growth of your team.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate care staff to client visits and manage daily rotas.
• Lead and support Senior Carers and Field Supervisors.
• Monitor client changes, update care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Manage staff holidays, ensure adequate cover and handle emergency staffing.
• Process new referrals, onboard clients and assist with payroll and timesheets.
• Contribute to recruitment, staff engagement and training initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in regulated domiciliary care, preferably as a Care Coordinator.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IT systems used for scheduling and record‑keeping.
