Career Starter Store Apprentice – Retail Management

About the role

Join Aldi as a Career Starter Store Apprentice and spend 12‑15 months gaining hands‑on experience in a busy retail environment. You will work alongside a supportive team, learn the fundamentals of store management and work towards a Level 2 Retailer qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service on the shop floor and at the till.
• Stock shelves, check product quality and maintain high merchandising standards.
• Operate tills accurately, handle cash and process transactions promptly.
• Support daily store operations and contribute to a clean, safe shopping environment.

Required profile

• Approachable and enthusiastic about helping customers.
• Hard‑working, able to stay on your feet for long periods.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to adapt to varied shift patterns.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn; retail experience is a plus but not essential.

Required skills

• Cash handling and till operation.
• Basic stock replenishment and merchandising.
