Caretaker

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and proactive caretaker to join our team in Weston‑super‑Mare. The role involves hands‑on maintenance of the premises, grounds and facilities to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of buildings, facilities and outdoor areas.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Keep the site clean, safe and presentable at all times.
• Open and secure the premises as required.
• Support contractors and service providers on site.
• Undertake basic grounds work such as litter picking and garden upkeep.
• Assist with room setups, furniture moves and ad‑hoc site requests.
• Report any health‑and‑safety or maintenance issues promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance or a handyman role.
• Practical problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
• Strong awareness of health‑and‑safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and reliable approach to work.
