Cargo Agent

About the role

The Cargo Agent will work within the Heathrow cargo area supporting a leading ground handling company. You will liaise with airline partners, warehouse teams and customers to ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update shipment records using airline computer systems.
• Process cargo documentation in line with airline requirements.
• Assist customers with cargo collection and handle payments where required.
• Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally.
• Liaise with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure efficient cargo flow.
• Carry out Dangerous Goods and live animal checks according to IATA regulations.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain up‑to‑date records.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Previous office or administration experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Reliable, able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo a 5‑year employment/education history check and DBS check.
