Carpenter Multi-Trader

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Multi‑Trader with a strong carpentry background to join Hyde’s maintenance team covering Rochester and surrounding postcodes. You will work in private homes delivering a wide range of repairs and improvements, ensuring each job is completed to a high standard and with respect for the customer’s property.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance.
• Fix everyday issues such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks, walls and flooring.
• Perform patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and other finishing works.
• Work independently on assigned jobs and collaborate with other trades when required.
• Follow work orders, record progress and material usage, and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Provide a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes.

Required profile

• Solid experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry and plumbing.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Practical problem‑solver with good communication skills.
• Physically fit for hands‑on work.
• Valid full UK driver’s licence.
