Carpenter – Multi‑Trade Repairs (Hackney)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced carpenter who can handle a variety of repair and maintenance tasks in customers' homes. You will deliver high‑quality workmanship while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑trade repairs with a primary focus on carpentry, including doors, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring, kitchen units and worktops.
• Diagnose and resolve day‑to‑day issues such as minor wall repairs, tiling, basic plumbing‑related tasks and fixture replacements.
• Complete carpentry work in kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows and other areas to a high standard.
• Perform associated tasks such as patch plastering, sealing, decorating touch‑ups, minor tiling and ironmongery replacement.
• Work independently to manage your own workload and collaborate with other trades on complex projects.
• Record work completed, materials used and update progress via work orders and reporting systems.
• Maintain excellent communication with residents throughout the repair process.

Required profile

• Solid experience in carpentry and ability to undertake general maintenance and multi‑trade repairs.
• Confident use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑friendly attitude.
• Physically fit for hands‑on work.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
