Carpenter/Joiner – Repairs & Maintenance (St Albans)

About the role

We are seeking two skilled Carpenter/Joiners to join our Repairs and Maintenance team in St Albans on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will deliver high‑quality, responsive and planned repairs to both occupied and void social‑housing properties, covering a range of trade tasks such as minor plumbing, joinery, tiling, and kitchen and bathroom fitting.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive and scheduled repairs across occupied and void homes.
• Use a handheld device to receive and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Perform trade work including minor plumbing, joinery, tiling, kitchen and bathroom installations.
• Adhere to health and safety best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide a professional, customer‑focused service to achieve excellent resident experience.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Craft or Level 2/3 NVQ in Carpentry/Joinery (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Experience in repairs and maintenance within a social‑housing context (advantageous).
• Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to high‑quality, first‑time fixes.
• Valid full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months (company vehicle provided).
