Case Progression Manager – Children Services

About the role

The Case Progression Manager will oversee casework processes for a small not‑for‑profit organisation in Slough, ensuring timely delivery of services and compliance with family justice standards. This temporary role focuses on operational efficiency, data‑driven insights, and cross‑team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Promote clarity of the Case Manager role across teams.
• Track case progression, ensuring timeliness and risk mitigation.
• Analyse data to identify trends and inform planning.
• Provide accurate data for reporting and governance.
• Deliver targeted training to improve practice and compliance.
• Liaise between JLT, managers, and senior leadership.
• Contribute to key meetings supporting oversight.
• Escalate non‑compliance with proceedings timescales.

Required profile

• Experience in case management or related customer‑service role within the not‑for‑profit sector.
• Qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England.
• Good understanding of MS Office, especially Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• High level of understanding of care proceedings/family justice system and experience undertaking care proceedings.
• Up‑to‑date with legislation, policies and procedures.
• Experience working with looked‑after children, including complex legal proceedings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
