Cash Assistant – Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Cash Assistant to join our Finance team within the Financial Control department. You will play a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate allocation of customer payments while delivering high‑quality service to both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate customer payments and resolve allocation anomalies.
• Manage cases and email queries within our CRM system.
• Contact customers proactively to achieve resolution.
• Track daily performance against KPIs and meet SLA targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling customer enquiries by phone, email or chat with professionalism.
• High levels of accuracy while working with large volumes and tight deadlines.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Previous experience in a cash team is desirable.

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong numerical aptitude.
• Confident telephone manner and clear communication.
