About the role
We are seeking an experienced Cashier Manager to lead our Finance Department within a dynamic law firm. This senior-level position requires a professional with a strong background in legal cashiering, team leadership, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and review daily bank reconciliations prepared by the Client Cashier and Accounts Payable Coordinator.
- Process standing orders, direct debits, bill receipts, credit card receipts and cheques.
- Manage bank transfers, CHAPS payments and client/account disbursements.
- Run daily system balance reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Supervise the cashier’s inbox, delegate tasks, and manage partner drawings and staff expense payments.
- Execute monthly mass interest calculations and month‑end processes.
- Support the annual SRA audit and ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Oversee SAP, SAP Concur and Aderant workflow for disbursements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in legal cashiering within a law‑firm environment.
- Demonstrated leadership of a small finance team.
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and related compliance.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
