Casual Driver – Class 1 (CE) – Flexible Hours

About the role

Gregory Distribution Group is seeking reliable drivers for a casual, zero‑hours role delivering refrigerated goods across the South West and Midlands. You will operate modern Scania and Volvo trucks, providing professional service to our clients while enjoying flexible shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Safely unload refrigerated vehicles, typically handling up to three deliveries per day.
• Operate palletised handling equipment such as pump trucks and perform trailer swaps as required.
• Drive a well‑maintained fleet of Scania and Volvo vehicles, all less than six months old.
• Deliver goods to depots and client sites, adhering to planned routes and schedules.
• Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport team, offering real‑time updates.
• Participate in regular training to stay current with safety and operational standards.

Required profile

• Full UK Class 1 (CE) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience with fridge trailers is beneficial, but training is provided.
• Previous experience delivering directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to customer service and ability to work under pressure.
• Good geographical knowledge of the South West, Midlands and surrounding areas.
