Casual Invigilator – Exam Support

About the role

North Kent College is seeking reliable individuals to work as casual invigilators during examination periods. You will support students by ensuring exam rooms meet board requirements and by providing clear guidance throughout the exam process.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange exam rooms according to exam board specifications.
• Verify candidate identification and manage entry procedures.
• Inform students of start and finish times, exam conditions and any procedural updates.
• Provide calm, reassuring support to help students stay focused.
• Collaborate with the Exams & Timetable Coordinator and travel to any college site as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills with a calm, reassuring presence.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high attention to detail under pressure.
• Reliability, punctuality and a proactive work attitude.

• £13.51 per hour on a zero‑hour, fixed‑term contract (until 31 August 2027).
