Catering Assistant – 34‑hour week

About the role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Springhill House, a residential care home for 116 residents with diverse health needs. The role offers a regular 34‑hour week split over four 8.5‑hour shifts, following an alternating weekend pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents' dietary requirements.
• Carry out quality checks on food preparation and storage.
• Assist with food service to ensure a dignified dining experience.
• Maintain stock records and order supplies according to company policy and food‑safety regulations.
• Keep the kitchen clean and support deep‑cleaning duties.

Required profile

• A genuine caring nature and desire to make a positive difference for residents.
• Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Food Hygiene or Catering qualification is advantageous; full training will be provided.
