About the role
Barton Peveril Sixth Form College is seeking a part‑time Catering Assistant to join its kitchen brigade. The role starts immediately, with flexibility for notice periods, and offers the chance to work in a dynamic college environment.
Key responsibilities
- Accept and check all deliveries for the kitchen.
- Assist chefs with daily food production for sale on the college site.
- Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and college policies.
Required profile
- Some kitchen experience is desirable.
- Hold a Level 2 Food Safety certificate, or be willing to obtain training.
- Flexible availability for a part‑time schedule.
- Ability to work under the direction of the Head Chef.
Required skills
- Level 2 Food Safety certification (or willingness to train).
- Basic food handling and hygiene knowledge.
