Catering Assistant – Part‑time (£12.85/hr)

About the role

Join The Brendoncare Foundation as a part‑time Catering Assistant, working 16 hours per week in a care‑home environment. You will support the Chef Manager and second chef to deliver nutritious, tasty meals for residents while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
• Rotate stock and manage inventory to ensure freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and catering areas.
• Complete HACCP records and exceed COSHH safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience in a care‑home or similar setting, preferably with older or vulnerable adults.
• Understanding of dietary and nutritional needs for the elderly.
• Reliability, punctuality and ability to work within set finishing times (no later than 7 PM).

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Familiarity with HACCP record‑keeping.
