CCTV Operator

About the role

The CCTV Operator is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of guests, colleagues and property at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. Working on‑site in Knutsford, you will monitor the closed‑circuit television system, respond to incidents and ensure that all security procedures are followed.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the CCTV surveillance system and provide evidence on CD when required.
• Complete accurate daily shift occurrence reports, accident and incident forms.
• Oversee contract security personnel and daily security operations.
• Screen all individuals, open secured areas for authorised staff and log activity.
• Check door locks throughout the hotel and program lock systems as needed.
• Investigate vehicle accidents, thefts, assaults and other security‑related incidents.
• Respond to medical emergencies, fire/alarm activations and assist guests as required.
• Challenge and escort suspicious persons off the property.
• Conduct regular security patrols from roof to basement and document hazards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of VIP arrivals, protocols and daily news reports.

Required profile

• Professional, engaging and friendly service orientation.
• Ability to follow policies set by the Assistant Security Manager.
• Strong observational skills and capacity to work shift patterns.
• Experience supervising security staff and handling emergency situations.
