About the role
We are seeking an experienced C++/FPGA Engineer to join a leading quantitative trading firm in London. You will work within a high‑frequency trading desk, designing and building the next generation of hardware solutions that power fast networking, high‑performance compute and real‑time acceleration.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and optimise FPGA‑based hardware accelerators.
- Co‑design hybrid hardware/software systems in collaboration with traders and technologists.
- Implement high‑performance networking and compute solutions to meet ultra‑low latency requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in a fast‑paced environment.
Required profile
- Proven ability to write production‑grade C/C++ code.
- Strong experience building reliable, high‑performance FPGA systems.
- Background in traditional RTL development combined with software skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high‑speed, accuracy‑critical setting.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Not suitable for fresh graduates.
Required skills
- C/C++ programming.
- FPGA development.
- RTL design (Verilog/VHDL).
