About the role

Waterloo Manor Hospital, the UK’s largest specialist service for women with complex personality disorders, is looking for a dedicated Charge Nurse to support the Ward Manager and lead the nursing team on a busy ward.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Ward Manager and manage nursing teams during each shift.
• Oversee patient care planning, delivery, and accurate documentation.
• Assist with crisis management and deliver recovery‑focused interventions.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient‑centred care.
• Mentor junior staff and promote their professional development.
• Uphold safety, dignity and compliance with clinical standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with experience in mental health or acute care settings.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, compassionate care.

• Clinical assessment and documentation.

• Team coordination and mentorship.
