About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Chartered Structural Engineer to join a well‑established engineering consultancy in Welwyn Garden City. You will work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, education and mixed‑use projects, delivering technically challenging solutions from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, cost‑effective solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while upholding high quality and service standards.

Required profile

• Chartered Structural Engineer with proven consultancy experience.
• Confident designing structures using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Excellent technical knowledge and a commercial mindset.
• Ability to manage several projects and deliver to tight deadlines.
