Chef De Partie – Experienced Line Chef

About the role

Parkdean Resorts is seeking a reliable and passionate Chef De Partie to join its fast‑paced kitchen team in Newquay. You will prepare and cook menu items across multiple sections, uphold high standards of quality and presentation, and support a smooth, exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a kitchen section, lead junior team members and ensure dishes meet company specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout service and complete end‑of‑shift deep cleaning.
• Monitor, record and control food temperatures according to company processes.
• Prepare food, restock stations and handle deliveries with proper stock rotation and food‑safety practices.
• Maximise profit margins through accurate portion control, minimal waste and consistent dish quality.
• Communicate clearly with the whole kitchen team to support smooth service.
• Adhere to health & safety standards, allergen policies, uniform and equipment requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a high‑volume kitchen.
• Ability to work well under pressure and stay organised during busy periods.
• Genuine passion for producing high‑quality food that enhances the guest experience.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or equivalent) and solid understanding of food safety legislation.
